Join guitarist Stéphane Wrembel and violinist Olivier Manchon for an immersive workshop unveiling the art of gypsy jazz and exploring the brilliance of Django Reinhardt’s guitar and Stéphane Grappelli’s violin.
The artists will analyze iconic pieces, break down harmony and chord structures, and dive deep into crafting improvisations. The focus will be on the distinct timbre of the right hand, the rhythmic drive, and the creative freedom that define this very particular cultural form of art.
The Saturday workshop will be highly interactive, playful and participatory. They welcome all questions and encourage exploration. Immerse yourself in this soulful tradition!
Stéphane and Olivier will also be performing in TEMPO's Concert Hall on Friday, May 29.
