Beginning Watercolor with Carolyn DiFiori Hopkins, MFA

This workshop builds on Carolyn’s Intro to Watercolor workshop and helps you take the next step in your painting journey. You’ll practice value studies, edges, basic color mixing, and simple compositions while gaining more comfort with water and pigment. Along the way, you’ll start forming the foundational habits that support future progress.

Supplies aren’t included in the workshop fee. You can find a PDF supply list in the workshop description. Carolyn will go over the materials during the workshop, and there’s a display at Arlene’s so students can easily get what they need.

This session is required for all new students unless proficiency is demonstrated.

This is a focused, art-centered workshop, and we ask that conversations remain rooted in painting and creative exploration so that everyone can stay engaged and inspired.
