Repair Cafe - Led by Historic Albany Foundation's Tool Library
Location
About
Join us for another Capital Region Repair Cafe run by Historic Albany Foundation's (HAF) Tool Library.
Repair Cafes started in the Netherlands and have taken the world by storm, providing resources for people who want to reuse their household items and favorite clothing instead of tossing them in the bin. There will be repair coaches who can sharpen knives and scissors, repair clothing and textiles, jewelry, electronics, wooden items, toys, and more.
If your item needs a specific part (such as a belt for a particular model), please bring the replacement. HAF has general parts available for free (such as wires) and has items available to purchase (like switches) at cost.
First come, first served. HAF will not accept any items after 3:15pm. Repair coaches will remain past 4pm if needed, and the event will conclude by 4:45pm. Items cannot be dropped off and picked up later. You are welcome to bring several items.
No microwaves please. No refreshments are provided.
Presented in partnership with Historic Albany Foundation. No pre-registration required.
