The Cribtet - Live Jazz at the Van Dyck

The Cribtet is a band with roots in hard bop jazz, focused on original music by its members.

Formed in 2024, the group began when four musicians moved into a house together (better known as "The Crib"). After a couple more musicians joined, the group grew.

All members met while studying at the Hartt School's Jackie McLean Institute of Jazz in Hartford, CT, and come from across the country.

The musicians are all composers with different writing styles and are influenced by Jackie McLean, Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers, among others.

The Cribtet returns to the Van Dyck Music Club after playing a fun set in May 2025, with a slightly different lineup.
