Learn about museum curator Nick Schumatoff’s 1970s research trip, when he and others sought to preserve the voices of the six remaining Unami-speaking Lenape tribal members in Oklahoma. Hear how they spent months with tribal members, including Nora Thompson Dean (Touching Leaves Woman). See pictures and hear recorded voices from the Lenape Tribe.
