Author Event: The Hudson River Schools of Art and Their Ice Age Origins
Wed, Nov 4 · 7:00 PMto9:00 PM
Location
195 South Greeley Avenue · Chappaqua, NY
About
The Ice Age didn't just carve the Hudson Valley's landscape, it shaped its culture. This program traces that connection through the eyes of the artists who lived on it—painters capturing glacier-carved vistas, architects building homes atop ancient ice formations, and writers putting into words a terrain the ice itself shaped.
Robert and Johanna Titus are, respectively, retired professors of Geology and Biology. They are best known in the Catskills as popular science writers. Over the years they have written for several regional magazines, including Kaatskill Life and Tri-County Historical Reviews.
