• ARAD EVANS (guitar, vox, songwriter) was associated with Glenn Branca’s ensemble from the 1980s until Branca’s death a few years ago. He is founder and still performs with Heroes of Toolik. In addition to Branca, he has played with Quiet City, Rhys Chatham, Ben Neill, John Myers’ Blastula, The SEM Ensemble, The New Music Consort, Virgil Moorefield’s Ensemble and many other groups. • NORMAN WESTBERG (guitar) altered the course of rock as the main guitarist of the Swans over 35 years, contributing "overwhelming waves of volume with a mix of the rhythmically slashing and the harmonically sensual." He has a busy career as a solo artist and with other projects, such as Heroin Sheiks, NeVah and Five Dollar Priest.

• LUKE SCHWARTZ is a New York guitarist and composer to watch; he also toured and recorded with Branca, performs in a wide range of groups, including with several of his own projects, The Review and the improvisational Hive and Quiet City, and is in demand for film scoring work.

• MATT HUNTER (bass, vox, songwriter) is a co-founder of New Radiant Storm King and plays or has played with a galaxy of cool projects, including J. Mascis & the Fog, King Missile, Silver Jews, SAVAK, Wharton Tiers Ensemble, and recent solo releases as Matt Hunter and the Dusty Fates.

• ROBERT DENNIS (Drums) is a veteran of the NYC underground and has played with a long list of scene makers, including Lester Bangs Birdland, Escape By Ostrich, Fire In The Kitchen, Tara Key (solo), Shöx Lumania, Frank Maya + The Decals, P. G. Six, Syd Straw, and The Scene Is Now. Robert has played turntable/guitar/bass in Tono-Bungay since its inception, performs his own long-form solo improv electronic(a) sound-collage project called sel-sync, and is involved with a wide range of projects as recording engineer and producer.

P. G. Six

Pat Gubler is P. G. Six – a guitarist and songwriter who’s been making music almost all his life. He started playing out in the ‘90s, with Memphis Luxure and Tower Recordings. The first P. G. album came in 2001; there are six in total, played solo and with others. Pat’s also played with Metal Mountains, Wet Tuna, Garcia Peoples and Weeping Bong Band. Murmurs & Whispers was released in 2023.

Mike Donovan

One of the architects of the SF rock scene around the turn of this century, Mike played around town with a bunch of groups before forming Sic Alps. After their ballyhooed run, he’s made his music – next-phase roots-pop, soaked in the traditional waters of rock and roll and passed through a thrilling variety of after-punk sonic sieves – on a few solo albums and a few more with The Peacers.
