Location

2080 Western Avenue · Guilderland, NY

About

Come make a small purse from your own woven fabric using the clasped weft technique on the rigid heddle loom. This weaving technique was inspired by Petra Marciniak, and Rae will show you how easy it is to weave. The bag is perfect for knitting and crochet accessories and showing off your creative color combinations. This class is held in two sessions.

This is a class for intermediate weavers who are comfortable warping and weaving on their loom.

Class fee: $45

Session 1: You will set up your loom to weave the clasped weft fabric and begin weaving.

Session 2: Remove fabric and sew up the bag.

Materials needed:
- RHL loom with 12.5 dent reed, 12" weaving width
- 2 colors of fingering weight yarn in contrasting colors, 1 solid and 1 variegated
- lining fabric, approximately 1/2 yard
- 9" zipper
