Punched Tin Lantern

In this two-day workshop students will learn how to construct an iconic pierced tin barn lantern using traditional tools and techniques.

Processes taught will include:
- Cutting, folding, rolling, soldering and wiring of tin plated sheet iron
- Laying out and punching the perforated designs that make these lanterns both durable and fascinating.

Some metalworking experience helpful but not necessary.
