Come learn basic ceramic handbuilding techniques to create your own Garden Olla Watering Pot!
Get your hands in clay and build your own ceramic olla! This beginner-friendly workshop is a great way to create something functional, earthy, and totally your own.
An olla (pronounced oy-yah) is an unglazed ceramic watering system, an ancient irrigation system. Not just for water, ollas can also be used as storage.
In this 2-hour workshop our Artist in Residence, Ash, will lead a short lesson demonstrating basic handbuilding techniques used in ceramics. After the lesson, participants will be guided through the steps of making their own ceramic olla. This all-levels workshop is sure to make your creativity bloom!
All materials and tools provided. Work will be glaze fired and ready for pick up in approximately 3–4 weeks.
