A powerful new family collaboration brings together legendary Scottish fiddler Alasdair Fraser with his sons Galen and Cameron Fraser and Galen’s Castilian wife, María San Miguel. Rooted in the traditional Scottish repertoire that has shaped Alasdair’s musical life, as well as a deep association with the Iberian peninsula, the quartet expands outward into a vibrant, contemporary sound world, combining the diverse musical explorations of all members. With generations of musical influence, family chemistry and a shared instinct for adventure, the group brings fresh energy to old traditions—moving effortlessly between fiery dance tunes, lyrical airs, original compositions and unexpected musical journeys. It is music grounded in heritage, alive in the present, and propelled by the sheer joy of playing together.
The concert will be held in person at the Old Songs building (37 S Main in Voorheesville) and live-streamed on the Old Songs YouTube Channel.
