The 48th Annual Carrot Festival offers a day of food, entertainment, and community activities for all ages. The event takes place on October 11th, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Enjoy a wide variety of food from the festival's food stand, grill, and bakery. Menu highlights include brisket sandwich meals, chicken shawarma, portobella mushroom sandwiches, falafel salad, potato knishes, latkes, hummus, tsimmes, hot dogs, hamburgers, and an assortment of carrot cakes and cookies. Gluten-free and vegetarian options are available. Special Bunny Meals are offered for children 10 and under.
Live entertainment is scheduled throughout the day:
- 10:30–11:15: A Glezele Tey (klezmer and Yiddish folk music)
- 11:45–12:45: R & K Jazz & Blues
- 1:15–2:15: Gina Coleman’s Misty Blues Band
- 3:00–4:00: Alex Torres Latin Orchestra
There is a Kids’ Zone with family-friendly activities and booths from organizations such as the Girl Scouts, Jewish Federation of NENY, Niskayuna Fire Department, WMHT Public Media, and others. The Stuff the Bus drive collects food, personal care, and school supplies for local initiatives. Over 30 vendors and numerous community service organizations will be present.
Vendor registration requires application submission to Congregation Agudat Achim. The event is suitable for individuals and families of all ages.
