The City of Albany’s Trick or Trot Pumpkin Run is a great race for all ages, featuring a beautiful Halloween-decorated course through Washington Park! You can run or walk the course and costumes are encouraged. This race features chip timing by ARE Event Productions. All registered runners will receive a wicking fabric shirt.

Warmups and lining up by 3:15pm. Race starts at 3:45pm for competitive runners who expect to finish in under 35 minutes, and 4:30pm for Fun Run and Walkers who expect to finish in 35+ minutes.

Following the race, we will host an awards recognition posting of the results featuring age-based divisional awards. Additionally, we will be selecting Best Costume prizes for participating runners.

Awards:
- 1st Place Male, Female & Non-Binary.
- Top three male and female finishers in each of the following age categories: 15 and under; 16-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70+.
- Costume Contest categories: Best Adult, Best Duo, Best Original, and Best Kids. Contest for Trick or Trot registered runners only.

Parking (paid lots a short walk from Washington Park):

- Parking Lot 3: 327 Washington Avenue (at Washington and Lexington Ave)
- Parking Lot 4: 124 Central Ave. (between Central Ave & Bradford St)

Special ground rules in effect: No alcoholic beverages, glass containers of any kind, animals or pets. All entry fees are final and non-refundable. We reserve the right to cancel the race due to weather conditions that cause the running surface to be hazardous to the runners’ safety. City of Albany, AREEP, and any affiliate or venue associated with the Trick or Trot Pumpkin Run 5K are not responsible for lost bibs. Ground rules are subject to change without notice. Exceptions made for medical or childcare reasons may be addressed individually. (Excludes ADA-defined service animals.)

Strollers are welcome but we strongly encourage runners with strollers to start in the back for the safety of all involved.
