First Friday Concert Series: Northeast Cortette

The Northeast Cortette, featuring Amy Baker, Becca Baron, Sam Kennedy, and Patrice Malatestinic, performs a program of traditional, popular, and seasonal repertoire for four French horns. The concert includes Bozza's Suite for Four Horns, selections from Tcherepnine's 6 Quartets, traditional 19th-century Gumbert Quartets, music by Lowell Shaw, Muppet music, Guaraldi's music from Peanuts, and holiday selections.

The performers are area horn players who freelance in the greater Capital Region and are associated with local orchestras, including the Glens Falls, Schenectady, and Berkshire Symphonies, Stockbridge Sinfonia, and the Skidmore and Union College Orchestras.

The concert lasts approximately 60 minutes and is free to the public.
