Solas

Solas celebrates three decades of pushing boundaries and honoring traditions in Irish music. Hailed by The Boston Globe as “the finest Celtic ensemble this country has ever produced” and by The Wall Street Journal as “an Irish traditional band bearing all the marks of greatness,” Solas has captivated audiences since forming in New York City in 1995.

With twelve critically acclaimed albums and a reputation for dynamic live performances, Solas blends respect for Irish musical traditions with adventurous melodies and instrumentation.

On March 11, 2027, at The Egg, founding members Seamus Egan, Winifred Horan, and John Williams will be joined by Irish singer and flutist Nuala Kennedy and Alan Murray. The band will perform its signature sound.
