Understanding AI & its Red Flags

In this one-hour workshop, participants will learn what artificial intelligence is and how it works, while learning to identify potential pitfalls and points of concern.
Participants will explore common risks, including:
- bias in AI systems
- misinformation
- privacy concerns
- over-reliance on automated tools
They will also look at societal risks, such as impact of AI on energy, water, and the job market, and practice simple strategies for spotting these red flags.
The session aims to give participants the knowledge and confidence they need to engage with AI thoughtfully and safely in everyday life.
