Open Floor

Open Floor is a songwriter community and open mic that takes place every 4th Thursday of the month at 7:30pm.

• Where: The Waiting Room, Franklin Alley, Troy, NY

Attendees are encouraged to bring an original song to share. You can participate in the monthly Song Challenge, where a specific phrase—released on the first day of each month—is used to inspire new songwriting.

This month's challenge phrase is: "Next time I'll look up".

Participants can share their original songs, receive feedback, connect with other writers, and collaborate in a supportive, non-competitive environment. The event is designed to motivate artists to continue writing and to spark creativity by seeing how different songwriters use the same prompt.
