About

Coming up!! Art with Nature: a youth art workshop with Artist Ashley Rutledge & University at Albany Students happening on Saturday, April 11, 2026 from Noon - 3 p.m. 🌳 Register at the link below by Friday, 4/10!

🎨 About the workshop: In celebration of Earth Month, join us and learn how to create art thoughtfully and positively with found nature 🌿🌸🌻🌳 Participants will explore outside with Artist Mentor Ashley and University at Albany Students to make unique works of art with what they find & explore how they connect with the Earth and nature. Youth will also work together on a collaborative mural on what Earth Month means to them!

This workshop is made possible in partnership with & support from University at Albany Students & the Middle Earth Peer Assistance Program’s President Amaya Neuwirth through Campus Connect grant funding.

This workshop opens up conversations & connections across generations, as well as fosters a safe space to create art that carries voice, community, and belonging. Bringing youth and college-aged young adults together opens up opportunities for unique creations and meaningful connection. Engaging youth in art provides a sense of agency and creative expression. Centered around Earth Month, this project invites participants to be curious about their feelings about the planet, share perspectives, and learn about each other's experiences.

We hope to see you there!
