About

Dad Fest is the City of Albany’s celebration of fathers and father figures, held at Washington Park. The event features a Classic Car Show with over 100 cars, family-friendly activities including rock climbing and bounce houses, plus food vendors and various local vendors. It's designed for the whole family to enjoy an early summer afternoon in the park; attendance is not limited to dads.

Date: Sunday, June 21, 2026.

Parking is available at several locations:
- Free parking: Elk Street parking lot (behind the State Education Building, with pick-up at Elk and Hawk) and Eagle Street parking lot (corner of Eagle Street and Madison Avenue).
- Paid parking: ParkAlbany lots at 72 Central Ave, 327 Washington Avenue, and 124 Central Ave. More information is available at www.parkalbany.com/find-parking.

Special ground rules:
- No glass containers.
- No recording of performances.
- No animals or pets, except ADA-defined service animals.
- All city parks are tobacco-free.
- Security personnel may inspect bags or containers; attendees planning to consume alcohol should be prepared to show age identification.
- Exceptions for medical or child care needs may be addressed individually.
