What’s New with the Weitsman Collection?

It may seem like only yesterday that John Scherer presented at Bennington Museum on the Adam Weitsman stoneware collection and Adam signed copies of the oversize book, Art for the People, but it was in Fall of 2015 — more than a decade ago.

On Friday, May 29, 2026, John Scherer, Curator emeritus, and Jennifer Lemak, Chief Curator of History, at the New York State Museum will discuss exciting new additions to the collection, the status of an enlarged display area for this decorated stoneware, and a revised edition of the book.
