About
Balloons & Tunes Roundup is an annual festival in Kanab, Utah, bringing together around 40 hot air balloon pilots for a weekend full of balloon launches, live music, vendor fairs, and community activities. The 2027 event takes place February 19–21.
Each morning at 7:30am (weather permitting), hot air balloons launch from the former Coral Cliffs Golf Course at 755 Fairway Drive. A final balloon launch is scheduled for Sunday morning.
- Friday and Saturday: vendor fair and live music on W 100 N Main Street.
- Friday evening: Lantern Launch Festival.
- Saturday evening: Balloon Glow at Center Street/HWY 89 and a wrap up concert.
- Sunday morning: final balloon launch.
Volunteers are needed to assist with balloon crew duties each morning. Applications for pilots and sponsors are open July 1st to September 30th, 2026.
The event enforces specific drone restrictions; drones are only permitted in designated areas and are not allowed near the balloons.
