About
The Balloons & Tunes Roundup is an annual event in Kanab, Utah, celebrating hot air ballooning with around 40 balloon pilots. The 2027 event takes place February 19–21.
Morning balloon launches are scheduled for 7:30 AM each day (weather permitting) at the former Coral Cliffs Golf Course, 755 Fairway Drive.
Weekend features:
- Vendor fair on W 100 N Main Street
- Live music
- Lantern Launch Festival on Friday night (weather dependent; if conditions aren't suitable, a candlestick show will be held instead)
- Balloon Glow on Center Street / HWY 89 on Saturday evening
Volunteers are welcome to crew for balloons. There is a 7:00 AM pilot briefing each day for volunteers helping with setup, inflation, and recovery. Contact Jenna Corry at [email protected] or call 435-879-1951 to volunteer.

The event is FAA-waivered. Drones are only allowed in designated zones and must adhere to strict safety regulations.
